I thought if get high distinction (top 1%) is good enough?

I thought so too..it's high distinction (top 1%) leh! But when I met a friend whose son is P6 and trying DSA, he said so. He also said only medal achiever will be invited for the prize presentation ceremony at the grand venue, but not for high distinction..appreciate if any mommies can help to verify..TIA!

As the ceremony is for the medal presentation, yes, only the medal recipients will be invited.

I wonder how correlated are the UNSW results to PSLE results?
If a child scores Dist & HD, is he likely to get A*, likewise, does scoring Credit or Merit translate to a A or lower grade in PSLE?

Hi,

my ds's school has released the results for the ICAS to students yesterday but my boy and one of his classmate did not receive it. The teacher commented that they probably get high distinction?

Is there such a practice or is she just joking? I don't have the tab id to check online... Please advise.
Thanks!

Based on my kids' past experience, I don't see any co relation between UNSW and PSLE results. My DS can score HD for UNSW Maths but just an A for PSLE Maths. We take it as good practice n exposure to external set questions.

Hi blithegal,

My girl received her results together with her classmates although hers was a HD.

Hi wennieng78,

Thanks for the info.
Congrats on your girl's excellent result!

The teacher finally responded. He has a distinction for english and the school will present the certificate to him on children's day celebration. :rahrah:
