Did you know you can use first letter abbreviation to search for 成语? I.E: fhrl for 风和日丽,cdfz for 重蹈覆辙. This saves the student a lot of time during exam, and lightens the load to learning writing.

Disclaimer: Would be the best if need not check dictionary at all during exams. Too time consuming.

An average student spend 1/5 the exam time checking for words instead of writing. It's those who need not check, can stay in speed and inline with train of thoughts (usually the HCL ones) that are able to write beyond 3pages in 50mins (PSLE Chinese Compo time)
