Stop Watch for composition exam?

Postby vinegar » Thu Apr 18, 2013 6:34 am

hi,
My son always takes long time to plan n write for english compo.

So my ds's tutor advised him to bring stop watch during the compo exam.
She said it should take 10mins to plan for compo.

Can anyone share where do get stop watch? how to help him to plan for compo writing in a more faster manner?

Most handphones should have stopwatch function.

If you want a cute timer, you can buy it fr Daiso

Some digital watches also come with timer and stopwatch functions. But will the beeping affect other students? Maybe they should be used at home for practice.

Yes,that is what i worry too...Beeping sound might disturb other students.

Any other method to help the student to monitor the timing? My ds is quite blur,no matter how i train or remind him,he doesn't hv sense of monitoring the timing.

You are not using for home practise?

Maybe start off with timer/stop watch at home. Then just ask him to practise by keeping track of time on his watch. During exam, hopefully the habit will stay with him.
