Are You Smarter Than A 12-Year-Old? (BlogTV on PSLE Maths)

Postby kohjl » Fri Oct 23, 2009 1:31 pm

I am re-posting this as a separate topic, as I am sure many parents who might have missed it on BlogTV would want to see a discussion on this year's PSLE Maths. Plus, see what happens when a 31-year-old private banker with a Finance degree is pitted against a 12-year-old student on ten PSLE type of Maths questions!

Go to http://blogtv.channelnewsasia.com/misse ... 00004.aspx but you must first install Microsoft's Silverlight software (also found in BlogTV site).

I am the tutor on the show. The banker vs PSLE boy, the results are very interesting indeed!

What might be even more amazing is that neither of them "passed" the test.

Agreed, Chief. Maybe our good old James Ang can post the questions here for the benefit of all parents.

Hi Dharma

Thank you. I am fine.

Indeed, these questions are familiar.

Q6 was from Pei Chun 2007 SA2.

Q7 had been discussed in Kiasuparents forum.
