More emphasis on HYPY ?

Postby cafelatte » Fri Nov 06, 2009 10:25 pm

Hi parents,

For SA1&SA2 this year, listening compre for chinese, there were 5 HYPY questions (ie. 5 marks). The words are read out and the children fill in the HYPY on the worksheets. This is the first time listening compre included HYPY questions.

Is this the general trend in all schools and PSLE now ? In the past, HYPY is only taught in Term 1 of P1 and thereafters, pretty much never revisited. Is there now more emphasis on HYPY ?

Well, if I'm not wrong, the new PSLE format for 2010 has a few qns on hypy. As for Listening Compre, I'm not sure if they hav hypy or not. But i think is not likely.
