Hello

Just would like to seek some advice on the above.

I know some parents will buy tons of assessments and books and ask the kids to do the papers.

There are some who believe in imparting the proper concept and naturally the kids can handle from there, no matter how the questions twist as the kids know what are the key words to apply.

Can anyone share your experience?

My child loves sci but those that will focus on concept, so mcq generally not well done.esp on very factual question.

thanks

Since your child can't answer factual questions well, it means that he has not fully understood what is taught in school.

He needs to know the facts in the textbook very well. Often, the textbooks contain all the key words necessary in understanding the concepts. Even the pictorial illustrations in the textbooks provides the basic knowledge of the topics tat the child should know. Let him brush up his knowledge by reading the textbooks again.

Next, he needs to pay attention during science lessons in class. This is where the teacher will point out the key words explicitly. Let him highlight these in his textbooks.

Hope this helps.
