Has the new PSLE scoring system changed anything?

Postby Veyron » Sun Oct 30, 2016 8:04 am

Parents of kids born in year 2009 (P1 in 2016) will be the pioneer under the new PSLE scoring system. As academic year 2016 is coming to an end, I am wondering if the new scoring system has changed parents expectation or mindset on kids' academic achievement?

E.g. Under the old T-score system, parents might have got the mindset that it is necessary to push their kids to achieve the perfect 100 score. But under the new banding system, 90 and above is now consider as the "gold standard".

So has the new PSLE system change anything for parents? If yes, has that lead to less stressful kids?
