Hi, have been lurking around the website for a bit. Am FTWM with DS1 aged 6 & BG twins aged 2. DS1 will be P1 next year & have been trying to find out more on what to expect. :D

Had enrolled him in Nanyang Primary. Got in via PV route. Had also enrolled him in the student care as no one to take care at home. Hoping everything goes well with arrangement.

Which school will your daughter be in?

Any P1 preparation done?

Not much preparation done yet. Got him some HYPY, Maths & English assessment books to try out when he feels like it. Started borrowing books (English & Chinese) from the library so that he gets into the habit of reading. He doesn't really like fairy-tales. Prefers factual books. :P

Letting DS1 enjoy his 'kiddy-hood' for now. Thinking of signing him up for some Chinese P1 prep courses during Dec hols. Any recommendations?

To me, most important is HYPY for chinese, basic Chinese and English reading skills.
And for Maths, simple addition and subtraction, problem sums, time telling and money counting. If they have the knowledge for both multiplication and division will be good.
