Primary school "feeding" into secondary school

Postby jangoh » Mon Jul 19, 2010 12:10 am

Hi everyone. I hope someone will be able to advise.

I would like my son to go to Victoria School (VS). Which primary school "feeds" the most PSLE graduates into VS?

In general, I'll like to find out which primary school does a particular secondary school usually get their students from.

Thank you

Hi jangoh

First of all, welcome to KiasuParents, but regret to burst your little bubble. VS does not have any feeder school. It accepts boys from any Primary School as long as their PSLE Cut-Off-Point meet their criteria. FYI, this year's COP for last year's P6 students for VS was 245.

Thanks for the welcomes!

I understand VS has no feeder primary school. But is there unofficial info - from which primary school does VS get most of its Sec 1 cohort?

Reason I'm asking is - there may be peer pressure when choosing secondary schools and I hope to leverage on that.

And for the record, I think selecting a primary school will count as one of the most stressful events in my life.

Cheers
