Eg, I read to her about 2 times and she start reading it herself and ask me on some words..problem is she likes to read the same book after that, that's why I consider her still in cannot read category...her teacher told me she brought that book for S&T (say after a week she learned it at home) in class, holding the book facing her friends she start reading out with accasionally looking at it briefly..and I seldom read to her Buds, you have any good whole set of phonics DVD to recommend?
Why not get some books which she has not heard you read for reading practice? When I was teaching my younger daughter to read, I had a set of readers which she was not permitted to access, and would not read aloud, until we had gone through them in "class". That way, I could tell if she was reading of reciting!
