Hello everyone,

I have a son registering for P1 this year, which is tomorrow. Still pondering which school to choose.

Rulang, Jurong or Shuqun??? :?

Anyway, thanks for all the P1 registering informations found in this web.

very simple.
sch std --> distance --> vacancies
distance --> sch std --> vacancies.
at phase 2C, there isn't much we can do anyway but take the plunge and gamble away!
juggle your risk well and that'll save you headache from phase 2c supp.
it is not the end even if you don't get into the choice school. this is just the beginning.
last year i went after 2.30pm on the last day. first choice had no chance and someone gave me obvious hints to opt for either of another 2 schools (one is over 3km away! luckily i didn't take the advice as balloting is required cos demand exceeded by a few no.s). I went for the next nearest. did cross my mind to focus on the academics part then considering a transfer at later stage, but met with violent objections from the boy himself who fell in love with the school on orientation day itself  . 8) as a result, he promised me that he'll do well so that i won't transfer him out.

btw, welcome to KSP.

Hi bearyhana, firstly, :welcome: to KSP.

Not sure if you have seen these threads, but it would give you an idea on the risks and some discussions about the same dilemma... as jedamum pointed out, your home distance from the school is an important factor

For Rulang and Shuqun:
Rulang - balloting for sure <1km

For Jurong Primary

For similar discussions about these schools...

Hope it helps with your decision....

Thanks all for your advice. :celebrate:

I will probably give Rulang a miss due to the number of vacanies left.
Likely to go ahead with JPS.
