b4 sch holidays air tick confirmed so much cheaper n better deal. Am going with cell to phuket , june.. actually dh n I are not keen in the eating n shopping , lucky got beach to compensate , i v scared of tropical places SUN n Heat , always feel its worse than Singapore

I just booked the airtickets for hubby and I to visit Australia in May cheap tickets and great to escape from the heat!

But your son taking PSLE soon!

His PSLE is his own responsibility. We fly off soon after his SA1. He will be more than happy in my absence. My part time job is not a helicopter la. Chill. We go in May then June torture him also same mah. Right?

We r bringing the kids to Bangkok for 3 days in June. Life still need to go on as per normal.

That should be the way TA! I've a few relatives and friends who travelled in Dec despite it was 1 year prior to PSLE, Os or As. It's important to take a well-deserved break to rejuvenate oneself, if time permits It's good for the soul and mind...hehe...

lee_yl: if it's just 3 days in Phuket, Penang, Malacca, HK/Macau, Genting or Bangkok, it's not that bad seriously. Even spending 5 days in Tokyo, Taipei or Perth won't disrupt your revision schedule if kids have been consistently doing assessment work throughout the year Kids will turnaround faster than u thought. But to travel for one month...hmmm...then I agree it's too long for those taking national exams the following year.

Need to achieve a good work-life balance else both parents and kids will 'kee siao' very soon.

Yahlor I noticed I'm not clingy enough. I also don't particularly like to chat on phone. Last time when dating dh always the one calling me. I would only call him when I have things to discuss but I wouldn't call to 闲聊. During his business trips when he call me daily from hotel I also don't feel like chatting much. Very bad hor. Can't help it, it's my nature. But to please dh I do remind myself from time to time to cling to him more because he likes it when I 表现得粘人一点 although typically is my dh 比较粘人
