Thanks to the recommendation at the Daiso thread, I picked up this pack of porridge from Daiso the other day.

The consistency is like thick congee.

Though salt is listed as an ingredient, it is not saltish at all.

The suggested cooking method is convenient too.

I poured out the porridge into a pot and thin it with the leftover soup, eating it with leftover popiah fillings and condiments now.

Will replenish this again.

Set the WM for a rinse and spin mode last night. Off the power once water is filled. This morning, on the WM again to start the spin process. So much lesser grime, tiny bits appeared.

So I put a small load of hand washed but not rinsed into the WM and set to rinse and spin. Thankfully, only tiny tiny bit grime found on some pieces of garment.

At least now I do not need to hand rinse the washed laundry.

Ya, must have these breaks la. For me, my house is cleaned everyday (kitchen and bathrooms included) and I do regular spring clean. Festive occasions or not, it's always ready to receive impromptu visits. In my household, it's easier to clean when everyone's outta the house. With everyone around, it's :frustrated:.

with regular cleaning, festive occasion or not, it is always ready for unexpected guests....but the fragrant scent from your baking should be the best.
i vacuum and mop when everyone is out of the house. just can't stand them walking about because it's as good as not mopping.

You know the canto saying 平时不做 (也), 做 (也) 打(烂)(也)?

Well, hubby offered to do the ironing this afternoon while I clean the kitchen. He finished ironing his work shirt, went on to iron his work pants, then he dropped the iron onto the floor, black ink leaked out behind the iron plate.

So I got a new iron at Courts tonight.
