Should be Portulaca, very beautiful for home gardens and balconies. Available in many different colors, easy to grow from cuttings, but need full sun and good drainage.

Common name Sun Rose or Sun Plant. You DH is also right, also known as 9 o'clock flower.

They did not grow well in small pots.

I transplanted them into the planter box, then cut the healthy young ones for replanting.

Now they grow and blossomed.

The other planter box has mainly orange flowers.

Some days all green leaves only.
