recommend to click on this link that offers a virtual tour

We took a train from Dresden to go to this Saxony Switzerland National Park, within 30 minutes.
From the train station, we took a ferry to cross to the other side, euro1.80 pp (to n fro).
irrc there are nine tracks (ranging from easy to difficult, 20 minutes to 2+ hours) available.

a pair of good hiking shoes is a must if want to attempt the longer track.
no toilet facilities once leave the base

this place reminds me of Chinese Monkey King drama :rotflmao:

Ice cream and cheese cake are so cheap here, euro 1.8 only.
exchange rate is roughly S$1.56 to 1 euro

I had too much fresh milk and kena stomachache on the third day.
Else I would have eaten more ice cream and cheese cake before coming home.

Fruits such as cherries, strawberries, nectarines and peaches  cheap and flavourful.

Train commute is easy as information is available via online as well as train schedule for the whole month displayed at each station.

I was in Suhl.
Its DB train ticket counter opens late on weekdays, closes early on Saturday, stays close on Sunday.
The ticket kiosks have English language option to select, so still manageable to buy from the kiosk.
Just need to know the station names correctly :rotflmao:
The train ticket does not print the platform no. to board the train in the right direction.
The train schedule displays the platform no.

On my way back from Suhl to Frankfurt, I selected the wrong destination station and ended up at Frankfurt main train station instead of Frankfurt airport train station. Bought another ticket euro4.80 (15 minutes) to reach Frankfurt airport train station.

Dresden Markthalle @ Innere Neustadt, nearest train station is Dresden Neustadt Bhf.

There is a Vietnamese food stall at the basement, run by a Vietnamese. Its beef pho is cheap, tasty, no MSG and comes with a good portion of beef brisket. He cant speak English very well, but we managed to order our food by pointing at the pictures. A good place to eat hot noodles

The supermarket at level 1 has a great variety. Its cherries are sold the cheapest compared to other fruits stalls at the central marketplace.

The confectionery stall sells cheap cheesecake. The size is so much larger. I bought a piece for breakfast (hotel has a bar fridge) and ate it all by myself in the morning. The cheese was light, not too rich.

The upper level sells fashion wear. We did not manage to see any as we were either too late (all the stalls covered up closed) or too early in the morning.

There is a paid toilet at the basement.
I have bad experience with such paid toilet - a 50ct coin to be inserted into the slot (like a lock on the door), the door is supposed to be able to be opened. BBBUT, the door refused to open and there was no way for the slot to cough out my coin :stompfeet:

We then found another toilet at the upper level labelled something like "Personal Toilette". I guess this toilet is for the stall vendors. Anyway, I used it as the one at the basement cannot open.

Procession of Princes

The local tour guide told us the artist spent 7 years in researching each prince and the significance of what the prince had done then to come up with every details on the mural.

This big tree is planted behind the hotel.
Its middle is split open and there is a long metal plank inserted in the middle.

We stayed at The Westin Bellevue, classic room.
Was pleasantly surprised that the free wifi works well, despite of lousy online reviews on hotel booking platforms , such as booking.com and expedia.com

This hotel has cold air conditioning, unlike HVD Grand Hotel, Suhl.
At Suhl, we slept with the windows left ajar for the cold night air to keep the room cool.
