I put on weight easily now, have to be selective in what I eat. I also dun take alcoholic beverages on flight. Just drink enough plain water to keep myself hydrated.

Like you, I cant sleep on planes. Think it was 2 years ago, hubby upgraded my flight to business class for an red eye flight. Full flat bed- I still could not sleep :gloomy: After that experience, he took his regular business class while I took econ class. No point wasting money on me :rotflmao:

This UK trip is an exceptional case as Finnair was offering promo price on its business class, not so heartache.

Will update my experience with Finnair after I return from UK.

Btw, I googled n read reviews on Finnair before booking its tickets. Reviews were not too bad.

As for service level, I had seen over zealous SQ stewardess who chit chat with passengers during on flight purchases session. Too noisy for my threshold :duck:

I am always on economy class and have no experience on business class

Am a light sleeper and long haul flights become a torture esp red eye flights which are common for far away cities from Spore.

Am taking the SQ flight to Wellington soon and most likely won’t be able to sleep much. I may try to tire myself during the day so that I can easily fall asleep during the night

For Jap 7 hrs flight , I can only sleep abt 1.5 to 3 hrs ( most ) I need 4hrs to settle down . So will eat n watch movies til eyes are tired. Really tired
For long haul , this time I slept in total 5 hrs plus with wake up in between too :( but better than din sleep.
I enjoy food fr, not in order
1) SQ
2) qantas ( nice western food servings with pizza roll as snacks )
3) Ana
4) Cathay pac ( tasty Asia food)

Hk , Jap, Changi , Milan, Frankfurt priority lounges are quite good if u are in at correct meal times . In hk, supper was served with Cantonese congee, har kow etc my kids go in for cup noodles

Hubby always says how much he likes the Canto soup at SQ lounge and there are so much food to eat.
I had high expectations and was grossly disappointed at my first visit.
So now, if we travel in trio with ah boy, hubby will bring ah boy to the lounge while I spend my time elsewhere at the airport.
10 or so minutes later, ah boy would call me on my phone and ask to meet me outside the lounge as it is so boring to him
:rotflmao: my sentiments too

of course boring if stay long. When we have abt 3 hrs interval or in the late night / wee morning hours & done shopping, this is the place to go to pass my time- drink n munch or bathe or sleep. I was in HK for transit last yr , my flight was 12am+ - all shops close, like ghost town so lounge is the place to go. since we have certain number of given access to utilize per year. But if i need to pay or use my flyer points then i would really consider to step in.
