There are a few types of cabbage sold in the wet mkt. I prefers the longish type, not the round ones.

Some months ago, there is a variety of cabbage named 银丝皇 which is very tasty when cooked in soup. These look very much like the 娃娃菜, but priced higher. Also seasonal.

Now Australia is undergoing drought in some States, its vegetables also suffer. Yesterday, I could not find bright smooth skin carrots, most have dry skin and some have splits along its body.

Many places round the world are at mercy of the weather - Australia having very dry spell with no water for its farm & cattle, then elsewhere in Philippines, Hanoi, HongKong, Haikou (China) & US having typhoon, flooding & landslides.

I rmbr one year my niece was feeling so sorry for dry Perth & elsewhere, when some parts of Queensland are flooded. She wished she can help distribute evenly but that's how mature is.

We are spared in a way, but not spared as prices will go up due to low supply & high demands for crops.

Need to be thankful we have AVA established network of food supplies ard the world. Pray farmers ard the world spared more unkind weather & let ppl live.

Decided to get this compact mw oven with steam function.
Just need to also get a kitchen food trolley to accommodate this compact gadget since I do not have a good counter top space.

I decided to make an all purpose soy sauce, took reference from the above, replacing the sugar with onion, red dates and shiitake mushrooms.

Elder boy comments the kitchen is brewing soy sauce now, very fragrant.

will the elephants feel "lost" as to what to display as natural behaviours with the enrichment toys scattered throughout the exhibit?

I think I might want to visit the Zoo again
