Hi Jen, happy new year to you & family.

Dun be too concerned with 44. I'll share this
- 2 of my previous cars either start with or end with 44
- hubby & I will be 44 next year
- my youngest aunt died on 4th April due to kidney failure
- a year later, my DS was born on 4th April (had wanted to induce on 3rd apr, gynae not free, so scheduled for 5th apr cos I wanted to avoid 4-4. But DS had to be emergency CS out on 4-4.

It's just a number I guess ;). Some say 44 is 双喜

If I am not wrong, mark lee's ( 李国煌 ) car plate number is 4444 and his home unit number is 44. He thinks 4 brings him luck.

I hv an acquaintance who lives in a house, number 44 too. He adds two Chinese characters beside the "44" - 如意 . So it becomes the house of 事事如意 .

Hi Jennifer,
Happy New Year to u n family.
Like you, for some reasons, I have great phobia about this year, 2013. Time flies and today is the last day of 2013. I would say tt 2013 turned out well.
So dont think too much. 2014 will be a great year.

Happy New Year, Jennifer! :rahrah:

You can think of Chinese age i.e. 45 if you are concerned about 44.

If you would only realize how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think another negative thought. Keep your head and heart going in the right direction and you won't have to worry about your feet.

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

May the new year bring you the confidence you need to know that you did what you could, with all that you had, wherever you were and bring your boys closer to you… bring your family closer together. May 2014 also bring you good health, a smaller tyre, more happiness all around good friends, good food and good company. This could be the best year to rekindle the spark to your marriage - take the cue from your ah lao to travel the world, see the sights, to reconnect..

You know Jen, with 4 (noisy!) kids in my home, i often zone out to visualize how lovely and peaceful it would finally be, when the kids are all older, absorbed and out doing their own things or even later on all married off because i know nothing at all abt this empty nest syndrome now so i may not know better..

But when they (especially my baby boys) are asleep both hugging me from each side of me, i hope they don't grow up so soon because i'd miss their baby days badly. :(

I guess it's true when they say: Parenting; the days are looooonnnng but the years are short.

So, must keep reminding myself/ourselves to enjoy every moment. :hugs:

Wishing you a happy new year ahead, Jennifer.. :celebrate:
