Yes, same same same..

When I'm not in the mood to entertain I will quip the same "rain oni" reply. That day I came home pretty chirpy even drenched in the rain and arms full of red grocery bag lines (heavy ok :(), so I was a tad  at him.

It was spontaneous water play... and I'm a spontaneous gal... can adapt to situations quickly and well... rain or shine. :D Dark clouds no bring me down.

DS was asthmatic but so far he never fall sick because of being out in the rain. DD is a toughie, aside from allergy rhinitis, she hardly falls sick.

DS also skin and bones. Will see his lips turn bluish when he is cold. That is when I will pull him out and get him in the showers.

Cannot help but laugh when I recall this. Kids had their swimming lesson and towards the end it started pouring. Mum insisted that they use the umbrella and not walk in the rain for that short distance from the pool to my house. DD said 'but mah mah I am already wet wat '. Mum told her 'yah but no need to get more wet.' Kids were

Again, diff folks diff strokes.

FIL was caught in the rain at worksite last year. Coupled with insufficient rest, a harmless cold then escalated into bronchitis. Needed to stay in the hospital for treatment bcos his red blood count was low and he developed a fever which rendered him delirious.

IMO, the young and the old are advised to stay out of the rain.

Agree with different strokes for different folks. :celebrate:

Different body types, different tolerance.
Different age, different resistance.

I used to play in any weather, rain or shine as a kid and even then I'm as healthy as a bull. Seldom got ill but always in minor cuts and bruises. Very active child. When in school, had to represent school for track n field or cross country there were events carried out despite some rain. Likewise for swim meets. Light drizzle / rain normally organizers won't cancel. Can see some kids already sneezing badly in drizzle and breeze, while some of us find it's just a lil rain.

For National Service, think only Cat 1 will get the boys out of the rain.
