I used to work in an office whereby the toilets were unisex. Always felt wierd coming out of the cubicle and seeing my female colleagues.

It pays to be humble n friendly when we r overseas. I got into a paid toilet FOC which was supposed to be under cleaning. Apparently the homeless makes the public toilet a home at night. When chased out by security, the homeless abandons some of the belongings inside the toilet.

Jennifer,
I hv been diligently 'stalking' your home since you started sharing your trip photos and experiences. Very scenic. I hope to visit 2 of the Scandinavian countries next June.

Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more beautiful photos.

Ps. Hope you recover fully soon

U r most welcome.

Better start sourcing for hotels in the areas u like to visit. Hubby did last min booking, ended up very limited US$200 per day choices.

Stockholm has clear blue skies today, hubby was most happy.

I confirmed with him: he is the most happy person in this trip, fulfilled his teenage dream of coming here n having the opportunity to take many beautiful photos.

I am the butler, hahahahaha.

Today we had a simple lunch at a air con mkt place. Quite a few butcher stalls, a few fresh seafood stalls, tea stall, cheese stall and food stalls.

We ordered a shrimp salad with vegs n avocado and had a lemon tart. The shrimps r petite but full of sweetness n a little salty. Firm texture. Unlike those we use in Sg.

Our early dinner was pickled herrings for starter n Swedish meatballs as main course.

Photos later.

We walked around the Old Town, hopped on the bus to the other districts n took the boat around the harbour.

We had our dinner in this restaurant

Its toilets r located at the basement, the doors do not hv the usual pic of ladies/ men. Instead the signs for female- a circle with a cross and for male- a circle with an arrow. I hesitated outside, not knowing which is which. Luckily a woman walked out of the toilet. Me heng ah, did not go into the wrong one.

Talking abt toilet, there r very few public toilets. Mostly r paid ones, 5 sek at public bldgs like museums. Some r 10 sek. Not cheap to use paid toilets here.

Then I saw a couple going into a paid toilet tge. Out of the box mindset. So if anyone is going to Stockholm, remember this tip.

How the paid toilet works? If dun pay, no lights no water inside
