Yes. Main reason for returning was to allow the kids time in Singapore to make friends and get to know the country of their citizenship. So we are here for the next few years until the younger one gets into university at least. Can't plan for after that - too far in the distance! In any case, with my parents in their late 70s now, I don't think I can live overseas as they are likely to need more help and looking after as time goes on. They are healthy now, but who knows what will happen?

I juice the small bitter gourd - try to scrape the white membrane as much as possible.

Found these:

http://healthytips-foryou.blogspot.sg/2 ... juice.html

http://juicing-for-health.com/basic-nut ... gourd.html

the SA at Tangs told us her friend drink bitter gourd+lemon rind juice everyday, helps in lowering her cholesterol.

Hubby does not think he would like lemon rind.

To introduce bitterguord gently to my DS, besides choosing bitterguords with bigger "grooves" ( supposedly less bitter), after cutting, I also soak them a while in salt water to get rid of some bitterness. Finally he can take them, not his fav thou.
