http://rasamalaysia.com/recipe-butter-cake/2/

I got the recipe here, easy to do- no need to separate the egg yolk n white.

I only hv 2 eggs for cake baking, so I scaled down the recipe n added 15g of cocoa powder to the batter left in the bowl after pouring into the loaf tin.

Elder boy commented the proportion of choco is just right, not overwhelming.

I baked at 160deg c for 10 mins, then up the temperature to 180deg c for another 10 mins, then left the tin in the oven for 10mins.

Only greased the sides n bottom of the tin, luckily the cake pulled from the sides n bottom when cooled down.

The recipe has a just nice amt of sugar. Definitely can eat more slices at one go w/o the jialek feeling of SL pound cake.

After seeing Funz blueberry butter cake, I can't get my mind off it.

Going to try this recipe soon.

I was deciding between plain butter cake, chocolate marble cake or to add blueberries. I have 5 punnets of blueberries in the fridge so decided to make use of the berries.
