Coca cola chicken

http://www.noobcook.com/coca-cola-chicken-wings/2/

I must hv done sth incorrectly, the wings were not sticky.

Did not really detect the coke in the sauce.

Ah boy says the sauce is more like herbal wine.

My hubby cooked Coca cola chicken before.
Very sweet and delicious. My kids like it very much.

Jennifer,

You may want to try Kitchen Tigress' version of the prawn paste chicken (recommended by Integer) or the one by Dr Leslie Tay's (aka ieatishootipost). Seems like LKK shrimp paste cmi, from the reviews that I have read so far.

Rong Hua bak Kut Teh

Anyone tried this place?

Edit: tried the bak Kut Teh for dinner on Monday.

We reached there early, first customers.

The prime rib were slightly overcooked, meat a bit dry.

I had sliced pork loin, sweet n lean, a little tough to chew.

Soup not as peppery as Ah Hua @ Keppel or Isetan old office.

The braised bean curd skin is ok, not very 入味, maybe a new batch since the restaurant is not open on Sunday.

The braised peanut is nice.

Can go again, but not first choice.

Went to Hot Tomato @ Star Vista the other day with the children.

We all feel that HT is much better than Swensens.
