Bn unable to sleep well since early Oct due to various causes. Tried Fedac which gave me drier throat in the middle of the night n more tiredness in the morning. Drinking milk made me woke up to go toilet too. Then the lack of sleep soon resulted in itchy anus. Vicious cycle.

Seen doctor n was on the way to sleeping better, yet now cold n itchy throat to keep me awake :faint:

Jennifer, dont take manuka honey or citrus fruits when having cough...

Avoid sleeping in air-con rm too...keep yrself warm ( esp the lungs) ... Get yrself a warm ginger drink or soup...

Maybe u would like to try this cough syrup Rubitussin DM...it helps to control itchy throat...( can be bought fr the phamacy)
Or get fr yr doc a codeine cough syrup...as Codeine is a narcotic cough suppressant...
It helps to control the signals in the brain that trigger cough reflex....
It also helps u to sleep better...

If cough persists for longer period...perhaps yr doc will prescribe antibiotics for cough...

Get well soon ....

For kids, you can try this. It is available at guardian pharmacy.
It is very effective. My kids got rid of the phglem within a week.

For phlegmy cough, must avoid milk and all kinds of sweet stuffs.

It started as a sore throat after the dinner at Rong Hua. Maybe too much pepper soup?

So I took the honey to soothe the throat. Two days later, the itch came followed by cough. By then I had stopped the honey intake.

Take care Jennifer. I am down too but more because of the extreme weather in Korea and all the food.

If you find yourself falling sick more often towards the end of the year, can consider taking a flu jab. My parents do that every year sometime in Oct/Nov, that is also to prepare for any trips abroad if we were to go on holidays.

For the last 2 years we went to cold places at yearend. I thought the falling sick was due to sleep issues as I simply can't fall asleep onboard planes.

The tcm physician said I better not eat cold n raw food anymore. Had diarrhea a few days after eating sashimi.

There goes my favorite ice creams, chedols n ice kacang.

I used Richard Bertinet's slam method.

The dough was very sticky ( followed the premix requirement of water n honey). Worked on the dough for 15 mins, did not get a non stick dough at the end. Anyway, just scooped up with my fingers n put back in the mixing bowl for first proof. The dough doubled within 1.5 hr. Scooped out with the scrapper onto the table n pulled into a rectangle shape, folded twice, put into the baking tin for second proof which is ard 40mins.

The crust is too dark, inside is soft with little air pockets. Final verdict to wait till tmr morning.

Ah boy ate the bread ytd, liked its crust.

Elder boy had it for this morning breakfast n supper. The bread is still soft.

Dunno is the Prima premix or the kneading method.

Will try the other wholemeal bread recipe next time.

Oops! Sorry :imsorry:
Could be allergy to its contents ?
Mixture is one part syrup to one part lukewarm water.
Not comfortable, better not try again.
Sorry :imsorry:
