Yes....would like to know yr verdict for the 虾酱鸡...
Me also still on looking out for a successful 虾酱....havent find one which is good.....
Except one which was exceptionally good bot in Macau long ago...

I used the top rack in the oven.

At first I chose Grill function @ 200 deg c.

10 mins later, skin looked cooked, but plain colour.

Then I changed to Roast function.

15 mins later, skin still not golden brown, so I up 240 deg c.

Result: nice colour but a little overdone.

I reduced the amount of marinate by 0.5 tbsp of the shrimp paste n oyster sauce.

Result: not salty enough.

The children like this recipe.

No thorns on the stem.

Pull the leaves along the strand downwards, all will come off the strand.

Then wash.

Then tear the leaves.

Cook in ikan bilis soup.

I clicked on yr link, then realised that the blogger is using LKK prawn paste which i had tried it before...
