Jennifer, I hope you don't mind me asking one question here since its CNY mood - do you all buy CNY cookies from supermarket? I want to get something for my office helper n not sure which is the best place to get.

Which recipe did you use?

Qms, only food talk n recipes will lure u out...hehe...

Ok, maybe u / others may wanna to try this sliced fish dish...which i had tried recently...

Fried Slice Fish in Butter n curry leaves sauce

Season the sliced fish with some salt, black pepper n some curry powder...过油 to fry the sliced fish ( optional if u wanna to coat it with some flour blatter )...Drain the excess oil n put them aside...

For the sauce, melt some butter, put in the curry leaves, some curry powder, chopped chilles, a bit of sugar n salt....Stir fry till fragrant....Then add in a little of evaporated milk, bring to boil...Next, put back the fried sliced fish, toss to be coated with the sauce...

Happy trying...

I buy from any place that I come across

For almond cookies, will buy from the stall at Beauty World cos hubby n children like this particular almond cookies.

鸡蛋卷 hubby likes the tightly rolled ones. So far he accepts the ones sold at NTUC, either Glory or Singlong.

For wrapped pineapple tarts, SIL has a long time supplier. She will order for us.

I like the Oven Bakery cookies sold at the confectionary along ChunTin Rd.

Yet to find a good kueh bangkit that does not stick to the teeth.

Earlier was at Clementi Central eating rojak. This rojak stall is selling CNY goodies too. But I did not buy cos I feel a sore throat coming soon.

I have stopped following the tradition to get new clothes before CNY. My 身材 is not very standard  hard to buy clothes.

Ah boy asks for new clothes for this CNY. I suspect the class is organizing CNY house visitations. Headache liao, he is hard to please. Next weekend likely to burn doing shopping with him.
