Just curious if you could replace the two pipes with a single one?

I don't know if they have such long ones as they tend to come in standard lengths.

Are the 2 ends still intact, not broken etc? If you can fit them back together, then winding some thin wire or duct tape around the overlap will be the best bet. You can also buy some kind of wire ring to hold them together I think. Make sure that the WM outlet pipe is inside the extension hose.

Both ends r intact. Hubby used wire tie to secure tge but not sure whether the WM pipe will again drop out. I did not hv such issue with the older extension hose. Wonder whether I hv bou a extension hose with a wrong size which is too small, hence the WM pipe could not fix inside well?

The previous setup was a short extension hose inserted into a drainage hole next to the WM.

Sometimes, the soapy bubbles r formed around the outlet.

So I bou a longer hose to use a bigger drainage hole in the yard.

I had difficulty inserting the WM pipe deep inside the extension hose.

The extension pipe has a funnel top. Kinda difficult to use tape, I think.

My impression is that newer items always come with less (cost-saving) than more.
