A staff was complaining of gastro reflux, heart palpitation, irritable bowels, etc. Basically feeling unwell. Unable to eat as she feels very bloated. She is already rather skinny and still losing weight. Did tests after tests. Finally did a scope.

During the scope they found many many polyps in her stomach. Doctors did a biopsy and at the same time, removed 25 of them. The test came back benign which is a relief. Since then, she is feeling much better. No more bloatedness or reflux, lesser irritable bowels and is starting to gain a bit of weight.

 I not like that ah.

Just checked the referral letter- specialist investigation. No mention about scope.

Did she overeat or lack something in her diet prior to that?

 Too healthy. Everything is steamed, low salt, low sugar, brown rice, oats.

Don't think her case is due to diet. She is prone to cysts. Hereditary, her mum is like that, her sisters too.

There are many possible causes for those symptoms, which is why they are so difficult to diagnose and fix. My husband has suffered from IBS (with increasing severity) all his life, and recently had a very severe bout of gastric reflux, the first time in his life. Was on medication for weeks, and went for a gastroscopy and colonoscopy, with nothing found. The gastric reflux started to fade after a few weeks, and is mostly gone as long as he eats carefully, avoids eating after about 8pm and sleeps with his upper body slightly inclined. The doctors have no idea why it suddenly occurred and why it went away! So now he is back to "normal" - only IBS.

I only discovered her books recently though we hv a few copies on the bookshelf.

U like crimes n murders theme when u were a teen?

Now starting At Bertram's Hotel.

The murder in mirror crack'd from side to side is most un- anticipated to me.
