Mass market paperbacks are not meant to last forever, especially the old ones which were not on acid-free paper. Hardback books use better quality paper, and now mostly use acid-free paper. But our heat and humidity are not good for books. Libraries will try to keep the temperature and humidity low for book preservation, but it's not really possible in our homes.

Wah...几天不见,jennifer's home has turned into a library!

I like Agatha Christie's books. Under the influence of my brother, I read a couple of them many many years back. The most recent one I had read was And there Were None, thanks to the KD Master Sun.

Has it been hazy lately? The air was clean and sky was clear when I landed.

Just spoke to MIL on the phone.

My 1.5 yo nephew is in hospital due to a fall that cut his lips really bad that needs to be stitched up else have to wait for 3 weeks for the wound to recover.

No one exactly knows how the fall happened cos he was in the house of BIL's aunt and the aunt was not looking and her dd was not clear though she was supposed to be playing with him.

This happened on Sun. He is unable to eat at all. From Sun to early this morning, hospital has no bed to admit him.

Really breaks my heart.

Oh dear! So young. Cannot use glue? Less traumatising.

went under GA to do the stitching.

so young, right?

The aunt did not call SIL immediately after the fall. SIL only knew when she reached the place to pick up the boy.

BIL now in Australia, SIL due to deliver in late April by C-section.

I hope nephew would not kick up too much fuss during the recovery period. He is quite a handful. Even elder boy commented so.

Luckily MIL has a good helper.

Reminded me of tofu boy's ordeal. Even at 4, I didn't allow him to go under GA.
