Hubby came back with a bottle of honey and a bar of nougat.

U told him to buy or his own initiative?

I did not say anything to him about buying anything.

Not chewy leh, how? :rotflmao:

Recipe is
200g glutinous rice flour
250g mashed steamed sweet potato
200ml water
2 tbsp sugar, mixed into the flour

This recipe makes almost 50 balls. I am freezing the rest, just cooked 6 pieces to test.

Very simple, steam the sweet potatoes, mashed while hot, then leave aside to cool. Mix into the flour, add water to form a smooth dough.

Pinch a bit from the dough and roll in the palm to make a smooth ball. Flatten the ball and add a little palm sugar in the centre, fold the sides up, roll again into a ball. Like making 汤丸

Bring a pot of water to a boil, put the balls inside. Once the balls floated, they are cooked.

What be a good ratio of flour to sweet potatoes? Water qty same as flour?

For the batch that r frozen, once thawed, I can just add more flour to the dough, then re-knead with some water?

Should be can hor.
