I wouldn't want to drink veg oil! But I know what you mean - the advice in general is to limit the consumption of saturated fats, so reducing butter consumption is probably healthier. I don't use a lot of oil of any kind in my cooking in any case. I switched to using veg oil to simplify my life. Since my husband can't take dairy, if I use dairy for the kids and veg oil for him, then we will always have to remember which is which, and I will have to bake more often. It's really hard to find dairy-free baked goods outside, and it's also a lot more expensive than baking at home. Also, we lived for some years in a city where butter and cheese was not always easy to get, so I got used to doing without.

So veggie oil has lesser saturated fats than butter. I tot both has abt the same level. True!! Most of the time, it's the habits and yrs of doing tat we r so used to the way we cook or in ur case, the way u bake.
