Have you seen the new hospital next to JE MRT? It looks like a poshed condo.
I hardly go to the banks bec no $$ :P

Totally agreed with the posh condo. In fact, I initially it is some atas serviced apartments

I dun believe you dun have $$ lah, must be parked somewhere else

I surely have no $, cos out of proper paying job for so many years. Now eyeing hubby to give me the first $12k to buy the plan, then the next year, hopefully I get a proper paid job :rotflmao:

Call me naive, and as mentioned in other threads, I am always be extra careful in structured deposits.
I have not been following closely what plans you intend to buy. But exercise a bit caution before signing on the dotted line.

Back to the "poshed condo", I think the hospital may be targetting medical tourism offered to the rich foreigners. For the locals, if we can skip a visit to the hospitals, we will try as much as possible.

I like to have coffee in the bank.. cos its free and so nice.. comes with cookies and mineral water too.. ok.. me so cheapo... but nice chill out place though..

You talking about DBS Treasures?

Btw, does one have to maintain the $200k in DBS to remain as a Treasures member?

Kind of waste to leave the money there without earning some decent returns.

Hence the UOB RM urge me to park the excess funds somewhere else, hopefully with his suggested B* unit trust that is now at a lower price than the initially $10+. This one still gets a monthly dividend payout which I can use to offset the monthly home loan repayment.

Different banks may have set a slightly different amt in order for clients to qualify for the priority services.
It need not be purely money in the a/c but could be invested amt etc.

Thank you for the kind advice.

I tend to be trusting, hence it is good to hear more advice from friends here.

I dun think I will do the structured deposit, return not too attractive.

So far, I believe we can believe in our local banks. Just need to diversify the eggs.

Oic.

I do not like the present DBS RM, she does not seem to be driving hard to work the client's money.

Whereas the UOB RM, he is into making his money work harder since NS days. More proactive, but not hard selling. Pleasant personality, looks and most importantly, his breath does not smell of cigars.

The RMs are just employees, working to earn a salary from their job.

See, there is still so much I need to learn

No doubt I am not a spendthrift, but I have not grown the money nest at all.
