I understand your predicament.
Your MIL is kind and loves her grandchildren.
If you can't get your message across to her, then the only way is to advise your boy NOT to take too much fruit juice after a heavy meal with soup.

MIL is a "insurance agent" style of person, you know what I mean?

It takes a lot of strength to go against her.

Ah boy has that kind of strength since young, so I need not worry for him when he is at her place. I guess he takes after her a lot.

I gain this strength after years of obedience and frustration at her hands.

Elder boy yet to master it. He is too respectful to her.

Thought Milo itself contains quite a bit of milk solids? :scratchhead:
Better to steer clear of all milk ingredients now..
I find that soft rice porridge is still the best for tiding over tummy upsets.

Hope elder boy recovers soon! (:

I brought him to see the TCM physician this morning. Did cupping, no acupuncture cos he is still afraid of the procedure.

Came back home, cooked baby oats for him. After which we both KO.

The body temperature rose to 37.6 deg c after his nap. This is normal right? I vaguely remember body temperature for a ill person will be higher after sleeping for a few hours.

On the whole, he is feeling a little weak and lost a little weight. Likely no full meal taken since yesterday afternoon.

Told him to consider not going back to boarding school for this week until he fully recovers, since prelims is due in August.

Thank goodness right?

Imagine what would happen if he forces himself to drink the full mug.

Elder boy needed a lesson on how to reject people.

In fact, I am glad this incident happened before the prelims, A levels and most importantly NS.

Last night, he vomited till he had to sit on the toilet floor.

:yikes: hope your elder boy recovers soon.

I never sat on the toilet floor even when I was down with vomiting. It was quite a sight to see him like that last night.

I could not sleep well last night, woke up a few times to check on him.

Vomiting like this and without solid food in tummy, will feel like jelly. Is it ok to add some minced lean meat into his porridge?

Minced lean meat is ok, not oily stuff. Everything in porridge, just like the old days when he had the dental braces tightened.

I checked out the forehead scanner thermometer at Unity this afternoon, so expensive > $150 for the Omron brand.
