For the calamine lotion, we didn't apply moisturizer. We used cotton buds and apply on the blisters. It dried the blisters faster so lesser pain and itchiness, and less contagious.

I separated laundry and did multiple cleaning and washing daily, but still the younger one got it...

We didn't apply moisturiser either. I think the dryness is subjective to different skin types. Calamine provided the cooling and less itching effect after application. Yes, it dries pretty quickly but the urge to scratch was less. Two to three baths (with Dettol) a day helped clean out the calamine eventually.

Or change his bedsheet daily?

I was washing all clothes and bed linen, including ours, with Dettol then. All furniture, toilets and floor cleaned with Dettol as well. His utensils may be sterilised with boiling water too.

I also gave manuka honey for its healing antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, healing ..... properties during that period.

Cooling drinks are good.

Use a knife to cut the top. Cut at the same spot several times and it will break. Go with a stronger knife.

Not difficult. Just use a towel to hold it down with your left hand so that it doesnt move while you are hacking at it.

Elder boy does not believe the power of manuka honey

Already told him to take it whenever he feels like a sore throat coming up, but he always does not do so, only come to tell me he has sore throat when the condition becomes serious.

We just applied the calamine lotion a while ago. Gosh, his feet are swollen now.

If I were to kena it, I want to go stay in a hospital.
