Think it's a little different now. The boys who are going to be naval divers and pilots etc have already been identified, before they even sat for the A levels. They're going for their training a little later than this BMT batch.

These identified boys all perfect eyesight?
Yes.

Yes.
Hard to find boys with prefect eye sight these days.

Those BMTC uploaded photos, majority of the new recruits wear glasses.

I learnt this word "horrendously" today

There are some other "light duty recruits", so the cleaning task is done by a few persons.

Go wig open heart open mind , I think the young men can enjoy n grow into fine young macho men.

I m grateful there is NS here , after working with some foreign men
I do appreciate our young men is more mature compared to those who din go thru NS :)
No worries. I know what to share. :) I am sure they would know that commando is the more 'siong unit'. Both the mom and the son are very cool people. Mom told me that her son is very excited and looking forward to join the commando unit.

Glad that yr elder son is well. I think my elder son would rather go through the normal training than do the 'light' duty. I would think the toilets must be horrendously dirty.

Maybe the sore throat went away quickly due to the nature of light duty.

Now I scared he comes home and implements tough measures on ah boy how to use the toilet responsibly.
