You can get basic information on IvP from this link.
http://www.gebsp.moe.gov.sg/IvP/index.htm

Basically this is open to P5 and Sec 2 students of participating schools. Programme will teach certain processes in the innovation process such as problem identification, problem solving etc. The bigger part is the practical aspects where you have to build a prototype of the innovation and present it to an audience.

The IvP launch is early in the year when IvP students from all participating schools meet for an afternoon of talks etc. Students then go back to work on their projects and schools will nominate a few projects for the selection of showcase projects for the IvP Show. The nominations are further reduced by an IvP committee to about 9 projects for the final IvP show. I believe the IvP show is taking place this pm at Ngee Ann Poly when all IvP students gather for presentations of the selected projects. There's probably also an IvP exhibition later in the year for viewing by other students.

IvP can substitute for research studies requirements of certain schools that require students to do a research project as part of the curriculum.

Hi! I took part in the primary school IVP (same thing as the sec one, just diff category). IVP can be very fun, basically you just need to make an innovation, which is an improvement to something to make it more user-friendly, etc. But for IVP you need the time and the 'infrastructure' because u need to build the prototype of your 'innovation'. Like for me I need to consult friends to help get custom-built stuff.
