HELP!Maths portfolio on Standard Form

Hi,im a Sec 1 student. I need to do a maths portfolio on standard form and it is due on 31 Jan!Plus,marks will be included in CA1 
I don't really know standard form 
I need help for this. 
1.One of the component is doing a mindmap on SF.Can you write down a few points i should write? I'm not familiar with mindmap either
2.Self practice questions. I need to look for 30 questions on SF,at least 15 word problems and others short questions.Where can i look for them online with answers?I need to mark them for the next component. I don't have any assessments book so i don't have any place to get the questions.
3.What is SF use for nowaday? Its application(?). I don't really know what my teacher means that ><
Currently asking help from my seniors and from web.
