School request student to pay for their CCA. What is your comment or advise?

Well, it depends on what is the money for. If it is to pay for coach, then I do not mind paying. I am currently paying for my DD's wushu lessons outsourced to a vendor.

Some schools do request co-payment for CCAs. These are usually for external coaches. Usually these are subsidised in part by the school.

What is the amount?

I am new to this and found it very strange. So children from lower income family would be excluded from such CCA?

:?

But if the child is from financially difficult family, there seems to be a myriad of funding they can request from. Free textbooks, free uniforms, free pc/internet. I was impressed! Perhaps then they may apply for help on such cca?
