i heard from my friends they said if u go poly need 3 years but uni need 2 years
if u go JC need 2 years but uni need 3 years is it true?

depends which university you go and which degree programmes you do.
so what you say is not 100% true.

Provided you are able to get credit exemption for relevant subjects, subject to the Uni's approval. So not necessary true. May still be uni 3 years.
