$35 / week for break, lunch and some stationery. But he probably uses 1/2 that amount only.pinky wrote:How much allowance do you give your sec school child per day/week?
About $25 a week. He also spends about half . He will bring extra to buy books if needed. So far he eats at the school canteen which cost only $2 or less sometime if he eat chicken rice. Some students go outside near-by food centre to take their lunch therefore cost more.pinky wrote:How much allowance do you give your sec school child per day/week?
Initially, I gave $25 per week but realised that it is not enough. I have since increased it to $30 per week and this is for 2 meals in school only, recess & lunch. My son is not a big eater. But he hardly has any money left at the end of the week. I think its because the food at the canteen is not really that cheap. I remember seeing the signboard of a Japanese food stall selling rice at $2.50 . If you take 2 meals at that price, you will not have money left for drinks.pinky wrote:How much allowance do you give your sec school child per day/week?
