People often say that History is tougher to score in than Geography. Is that true in the upper sec levels?

Is a world-wide trend both A-level and IB. However, final reults are moderated, the former base on cohort's performance and for the latter, the marks to score a distinction are different.

Generally, if your dd is achieving >70 marks consistently, she should be able to handle econs/any of the above at A-level.

Choose base on her interest and aptitude. If unsure, choose the one she requires the least effort to score.

I would like to check you regarding which combination is good for my ds. Currently, I think my son should good to take up Economics in jc1 or ip 5th yr as he is good in Maths and he has no problem in writing too.
I have heard of students taking Chemistry, Physics and Econ in RI. What is your view on this combination. TIA!

PCME is the legendary combi for science students the alternative being BCME. The former opens more doors to take up a broad spectrum of courses in unis. Econs is the most common contrasting subject offered by science students. Base on your ds profile, econs is suitable for him.

Grads who have majored in econs can work in both the public and private instituitions. A wide ranging careers are on offer in both govt depts ie trade, military, finance, foreign affairs, education etc and private sector- banks, advisory services as economist, coporate/pte bankers, marketing, financial professionals etc.

Those who have sterling results can also do a double degree programmes in engineering, accountancy or master in public administraion- LKY school of public policy.

Local also can. 5-year programme.

Thanks Edureach. So are you saying that it isn't harder to score in History as compared to Geography? That after moderation, the possibility of scoring well in either subject is equal?
