Any interesting and enriching story books to recommend for those going on to secondary school children? It's better if the books are able to help in their Secondary English and other subjects too. :imcool: :boogie:

Thank you.

Try reading magazines like Nat. Geog. and Newsweek. It will help in English and Social Studies.

Plenty of good titles out there -- you can borrow them from the National Library.

A Healing Family, by Kenzaburo Oe (Nobel Prize winner)
Leaving Microsoft to Change the World, by John Wood (founder of Room to Read) -- http://www.roomtoread.org/
Elly: My True Story of the Holocaust, by Elly Berkovits Gross
Beyond the Fall, by Thomas Chua (nice local book)
