KiasuParents - Parenting in Singapore

Have just found out that my girl's school is only going to award 30 CIP hours for their NDP training. Have done a calculation and realised that they are required to spend 111 hours for the training rehearsals (almost all exclusively on weekends), but they are only getting 30 hours.

Have written into the school to seek clarification on this because 30 hours could easily have been clocked up over one weekend supporting an event as a volunteer.

Have any other parents out there ever been faced with the same issue?

Out of curiosity, does your child happen to be from SCGS?

Hmm... Not surpirsed... Many school are like that, to encourage the kid to do more CIP hours

But if for me, I will be okay, becos performing at NDP is a great honour already, you get participation/representation points (2-3points if not wrong).

And we must be sincere in doing CIP, not just for the sake of the hours
