Anyone know whether St Nic's O level track students will hv affiliation points to the new JC? Or will St Nic's stop offering O levels track eventually? TIA

As far as I know, St Nics offers dual track - IP & O lvls. I do not believe the school will stop O lvls, as she does take in many students from the affiliated primary section with major point discounts. If only IP is offered, then COP will be adjusted upwards quite substantially for the affiliated primary girls, and I sincerely do not believe that the school will do that.

St Nics is currently affiliated to CJC. Not sure if this will change with the new JC.

I don't think the new dual-track IP schools (viz SNGS, SCGS, CHS, SJI, MGS etc) will be allowed to go fully IP. MOE is mindful that there must still be good O level schools for those who wish to go that route.

Motherhen,
What u said make sense. SNGS has to take care of the girls from the primary school section as well.

Jtoh,
Yes, agree. Dun think my dd is cut out for IP. If she manage to meet the SNGS COP for O levels track, she said she would like to go there. With limited seats for O level students, affiliation to the new JC will be a bonus. Heard the new JC will be near SNGS/CHS area. CJC is quite a distance from our home.

So kiasu, think so far

I have worked with your DD before. I think she would manage IP quite nicely actually. She has considerable fluid intelligence and character to boot. Of course, I might be wrong.

hi

If affiliated school to JC gets 2 points and if CCA also did well can get 2 points, does it mean can deduct 4 point?? or only either one?

Any idea?

Thanks
