Secondary 1 Class Allocation

Postby kwcllf » Mon Dec 03, 2012 8:12 pm

Hi,

Does anyone know how secondary schools allocate classes for new students.

Do they rank them according to PSLE results? Or, do they randomly allocate the new students? Thanks.

Hi, just to share with you, for most schools, they allocate students by their PSLE scores. However, I have heard from my students (yes, I am a tutor) that some schools (like Jurong Sec), have different kinds of classes, such as sports (for those strong in sports) and academic class. Hope this helps :)

Most schools organise by PSLE scores, but some schools may reserve classes for DSA students.
