What are you doing to prepare your kids for Sec 1?
Holiday enrichment programmes? Tuition classes? CIP?
Any 'lobang'?

My kid and some of his tuition peers continued with their tuition at the same centre after PSLE. They are learning Sec 1maths. I think it is a good way to prepare them early as they progress to the next stage. Moreover, it is good to keep him occupied during the holidays after laying off their books for so long.

Son has resumed his Eng & Chinese tuition. Math will start end Dec.

how to stop tuition from sec1 onwards.... btw dd P5 next next year and i hope (working towards) no more tuition when come sec1... possible?

I'm trying not to have any tuition too. Not sure will succeed.
So far yet to sign up for any for Sec1 next year. But keeping my eyes & ears open just in case need any fast. May continue with his Mathshub cos he likes Maths. But shall wait & see how he copes plus his schedule in term 1 b4 deciding. Do feel a little worried about the increase in workload tho

I am continuing with english, Chinese and Math. Dare not stop, especially English. The other subjects like history, Geog will be up to him.

In sec school I only have math/amath tuition and I take 9 subs. It's possible.

Just started English tuition for DD. They do not have enough students to start the sec 1 class, joined the sec 2 class instead. Able to participate in about 70% of the discussions. Doing sec 1 English assessments.

Watching animated version of 三国演 and some of the Chinese classics to build up knowledge and understanding off Chinese History as well as documentaries. Reading lots of magazines too.

Not doing anything for Maths and Science as they are not DD's cup of tea and resistent to doing anything more than necessary.

Wow looks like everyone is already gearing up for the new year!
I hate to say this but its time to start my kid on the mugging cycle asap ; )

Careful to not push your kids too hard though, don't want them to burn out so early.
