Mine is joing a major compeition for the CCA and hence would be fully occupied every day from day one till end. She already start to tell me, she is fully geared up now, waiting for the exams to be over and holidays to come ASAP. :D

From my understanding, the teachers would be giving them lots of holiday assignments to be done and hand up to next year teachers.

I quite like the idea of volunteer work.

My daughter's school has arranged quite a lot of post exam activities for them. From the school calendar, the school holiday will start from 14 November.

Most schools will have holiday homework for most subjects. I know I have to plan 5 hours of homework for my kids.

I think my children have done enough homework during school terms, so holiday homework is a no-no for me.

But, it's time to catch up with reading all the books they can, maybe watch a few good movies or go out with their friends.

Anyway, they've got to practise for their piano exams next year. We will also be away for 3 weeks.Looks like not much time left anyway.

I believe in the children taking a good clean break from school work before they start afresh again next year. Yes I believe in letting the soil rest before planting the seeds again. :D

My children will be going for school organised camps (overseas) and local courses for CCA and student council. We will be away 3 weeks for family holiday. That leaves them not much time. I hope they will be catching up with reading and self learning (on things which interest them). Still not sure if school will assign holiday homework, hopefully not.

For my girl's school, 30th Oct is the last school day. The school needs more time to move to the new campus. Still not clear yet if she needs to go back to help up on the packing of her CCA stuffs.
