2013 O Level Higher Chinese Paper

Postby sleeping beauty » Thu Nov 07, 2013 3:16 pm

Hi, heard this year's paper 1 was unusually tough and even paper 2 was not too easy. Any experiences to share? :)

Although I know that the standards differ every year, can anyone, especially a Chinese teacher, enlighten me as to roughly what overall % is required for an A1 and A2 at O level? Is it the same as for school assessments whereby 70-74=A2 and 75/>=A1?

Is it true that about 33% get As every year for HCL? Does this mean that MOE more or less 'fixes' the proportion of As at this approximate % and a student who falls in the top one-third will get an A, regardless of raw score?

Thank you in advance. :D

According to the feedback fr my gal and her close frens who often scored good grades for HCL...
Said that Paper 2 was tough, 1 of the comphension, the summary and 词语选择 components...
Overall....they didnt expect it as of that level...

Hopefully they'll moderate the scores and everyone does alright.

It is everyone's hope now.

PS - is it possible to CFCM to MOE just like the previous years' PSLE parents who complained abt the Maths paper?
