Hi Michaelia0816,

Your point C coordinates are wrong. the position where it put it, it should be (0,3).

so, is C supposed to be (0,3) or (0,5)?

Please note that ^ means power.
x^3 + 6x^2
= x(x^2 + 6x)
= x(x^2 + 5x + x)
= x(5 + x) [since x^2 + 5x = 5]
= x^2 + 5x
= 5

Thanks! Another one!

Two squares, each s on a side, are placed such that the corner of one square lies on the centre of the other. Describe, in terms of s, the range of possible areas representing the intersections of the two squares.

Augs wrote:Hi. Does anyone know of any good Sec 1NA Maths assessment book? I prefer it to go topic by topic, instead of in exam papers format. I went to Lot One popular and could only find 2 types of Maths assessment books for Sec 1 NA, and both are in exam papers format. Any recommendation on which assessment books and which outlet to get?
Casco maybe good as there are really a lot of questions but u have to be selective on the questions because not all of them are insync to the current syllabus. You have to decipher which are the more common ones so as not to waste too much time doing unecessary questions.
