I've tried like 3 Geo home tutors. looks like all really cannot make it. Any tuition centres to recommend? not many centres offer Geo :(

daughter insists on appealing for electing geography. I have been coaching her for history and geography for the past 2 years and it was sucking my life. if she takes geography, I dread to think if she can cope since I am planning to get her plan own revision.
Hello, my child took Full Geography during her upper secondary education and did pretty well.
Her opinion is that Full Geography and Elective Geography are rather similar in module and content as Elective only has 2 chapters less. She told me that papers are doable once you get the hang of it, as she was failing it badly as well in Sec 3 as she wasn't used to the paper ( she got F9 for her EOYs in sec 3). In Sec 4, due to constant exposure, she got the hang of it and got an A2 for her prelims and proceeded to achieve the same grade for her Os. I personally feel that your child's passion for the subject is most crucial, as it will fuel her to keep studying, just like how it did for my child.

All the best! :rahrah:

I don't think there is any difference between IP A level and regular A level. It's the same exam. All JCs seem to produce copious notes for their students, so I'm not sure there is a need for any other guides, and whether there are any published.

for the first test, it was on GI...according to my girl, it's pointless to get a reference on that because it's not a topic which is fixed. she was also not informed test will be on GI because the teacher told them to study topic on weather :slapshead:

GI is like maths - the answers are very specific and technical but are repetitive. So best way to do well in GI is to get MYE or Prelim papers from schools and spam do section A (always GI) from elective geog papers.
